I yearn to absorb this moment in its entirety

breathe it in with all senses known and unknown to a woman.

I wish I could imprint in my heart

the lightness of your frame

lying on my bosom

the gentleness of your breath

as your chest moves slightly up and down

the soft glow of the night

as it reflects the contentment on your face

mirrored in mine

the stillness in the air of waning autumn

the silence

the darkness.

I wish to conjure up a wordsmith

who could capture the beauty of this moment

to be retrieved in another time

when I am not so fine

to remind me of what bliss feels like.

This post is my entry for November 1st of NanoPoblano, 30 days of blogging in November. I am planning to dabble in poetry for most of the month, learn a little about the structure of poetry, meter, rhyme and so on. But a lot of my poetry is going to be free form like this one here. I might throw in a couple of microfiction posts into the mix to spice things up during the course of the month. Happy November!

It is very rare that i connect to poems as i find myself ill equipped when it comes to understanding the essence the poet or poetess show in their poems or connecting to it. But there are only few blogs which i follow for their poems and from today yours is going to be one of those for i could instantly connect to it and understand the essence. I am glad that I took part in this bloghop that i got to read few amazing poems 🙂 I mean it genuinely!

Thank you Keerthi! Glad you liked it.

Such heartfelt comments make me want to continue on this poetic journey, cause as you said most people do not connect with poetry or poems that easily. So, it is a welcome change when someone identifies with it.

I really like how the lines fall in this. They are sensual and the flow is very mellow, you certainly have captured beauty in this particular moment. Love it and look more to reading more of your posts this month 🙂
