“Man may work from sun to sun but woman’s work is never done”

This April tune into my blog to celebrate “Women & their work“, the different roles they play and how they are making an impact on the world around us. There are many unknowns yet, but what I intend to do is to explore and acknowledge the work of the common everyday woman.

Why? Well, why not. Someone recently told me “Let the AtoZChallenge be about YOU“. Following such good advice, I reason that the theme is appropriate because I am a woman, and my current area of interest is a woman’s life work. However, the theme is basically about other women and weaving their stories to you.

Why I joined in the AtoZChallenge this April?

Since the day I started writing on this blog, I have been trying to achieve some level of consistency but in vain. I initially planned a 21-day challenge, but the good day to start never arrived. The reason? “I work only under pressure“. 26 blog posts in 1 month, a theme reveal and the world watching. Yep, I think that is pressure enough and I hope I don’t crack under it.

My mind has also started working in overdrive; creating, planning, making notes, contacting people. Yay!  I am very excited to share this with each one of you.

Ooooh I am soooo scared

What if nobody is interested in my theme or my writing?

What if I can’t find the strength to approach people I want to write about? I am hoping that people like to be written about(I intend to write mostly nice things). The few that I have asked till now have readily agreed. So there is some hope.

What if I cannot follow through and meet the blog post dates? Fear of failure is raising its ugly head. *Shooing it down*

Well, no time to worry now. Too many things are still unclear and too much work to do. So I am off to START CREATING!

PS: I almost decided not to go for the challenge because my son has been sick all last week with viral fever and I also have been sick the last couple of days. However, since I had already drafted this post, I decided to use the little bit of energy I gained from the morning breakfast and temperature coming down to 99, to quickly edit and post this before I change my mind yet again. Ok off to sleep again.

Get well soon all of you, and do not get scared – there’s nothing to get scared, if i can survive ( I am lazy like a sloth) twice from 2 blogs – doing 52 posts each time then everyone can.

Don’t be scared, you’ll do great. I’m glad you’re joining the challenge and you will be as well. It’s a lot of fun and you get such a sense of accomplishment at the end. Plus you’ll meet a ton of new friends and contacts. It’s a win – win. I really like your theme. I think we’re all a bit nervous this year without a sign up list, so it’s like we’re all newbies. I’ve added you to my own list of blogs to visit. See you in April.
