Moment of desperation
Moment of boredom
Boredom of today
Boredom of tomorrow
Tomorrow may not come
Tomorrow is not welcome
Welcome nothingness
Welcome pain
Pain of the living
Pain of existence
Existence in this routine
Existence is a routine
Routine like a stuck tape recorder
Routine drives me crazy
Crazy to plummet myself
Crazy to break free
Free from plans
Free to fly away
Away just one-way
Away from this grey
Grey like blood drained of colour
Grey is drowning
Drowning in self-pity
Drowning in bottomless static
Static joy is insipid
Static ice through my veins
Veins bereft of pulse
Veins of meaning forgotten
Forgotten glimpse of excitement
Forgotten hope
Hope vaporised like sweat
Hope annihilation
Annihilation of you
Annihilation of us
Us was red black and blue
Us was sorrow
Sorrow is my friend
Sorrow stay
Stay with me tonight
Stay with me all day
Day after day goes on
Day after day same life
Life drew a blank
Life submerged by tsunami of nothing
Nothing in honey-dipped rainbows
Nothing in breathing
Breathing in
Breathing out
In ..
Out ..

The repetition works perfectly with the topic of mental illness / depression.

Oh, the repetition creates that sense of redundancy — I really likes its impact on creating the humdrum of a routine existence. The sadness in it resonated with me.

This form is interesting, how lines begin with the last word of the line above….pretty cool!

Life can be so mysterious that looking for the rainbows can be such a challenge! But it makes it all the more interesting!

Loved the style of the poem. Really hits you in the guts. Loved the line: static ice through my veins

First time I heard of this style of poetry. A poem which leans more to the low side.

My friend enquired if I was in depression after reading this. I am not. But it was derived from one such moment.
