How many times do you need to be pushed down

Before you decide to stand up?

How many thoughts of death will it take

Until you call 911?

How many words can you bear to hear

Before you decide to speak up?

How many more times to you need to be marked

Until you get up and walk out?

It is time, my friend,

To answer the Call of the Wind,

Now, is the time, my friend.

This is the last post in BarAThon which is a 2-week writing challenge. Here, I have taken the opportunity to urge all people who have been undergoing any sort of abuse or depression to go out and seek for help. I know it is difficult when you feel so stuck, but sometimes all it needs is one step in the right direction.

Question for the day: I would love you receive your feedback. How can I improve my writing? What could I have done better in this BarAThon?

I have never enjoyed poetry. It’s one thing I never read nor attempt to write just because it never enticed me. But after having read you in #Barathon I have a totally new perspective. Loved all your posts and glad to have connected

Yes. It’s about the tolerance which women seem to display in abusive situations. In most instances, it is too much for their own good.
