Hey!

This week’s prompt on MicroMondays is taken from the Famous Five Series by Enid Blyton. Remember them? My childhood wouldn’t have been complete without them or the other Enid Blyton series like The Five Find-Outers, Secret Seven, Mallory Towers or the Girls at St.Clares! Through middle school, they were my constant companions. So this week’s prompt is kinda special. Here goes:

MicroMondays 5

The prompt is “she secretly hoped they wouldn’t find them” and must be used Verbatim.

The word count for this weeks challenge is 50 + 7 = 57 words

You can link up here or at L.E.R.T. Scroll down for my entry.

Choices

Sara lazily flipped through Vogue.

Suddenly, her eyes sparkled with glee.

Jimmy Choos, glitter et all.

Perfection.

She and Maurice were on their way to Macy’s by mid-morning.

However, she secretly hoped they wouldn’t find them.

With Jeff’s fortunes dwindling quickly, soon she would have to either curtail her extravagant tastes or find herself a new husband!

Linking to Nanopoblano Day 13! Made it this far. Any of you Peppers up to the challenge?

Clever take on the prompt. I thought the ending was funny, I just imagined her credit line running out and the practical thing to do is to go get another husband – this husband is maxed out, I need another 🙂

It seems to be out of fashion to be with same husband every season, for her! High and dry, they say, isn’t it Namratha!

I do love Enid Blyton! Loved her other books too like the Flying Chair and the Faraway Forrest and that tree..the big big tree where so many wonderful people lived…can’t remember the name…
