I am a red ball
bouncing inside a dark box
up down and side to side
in circles and at tangents
trying to find the light
I will not stop
bouncing off these walls
till I find my way out–
If there is one.
Written for dVerse Quadrille #48 on the prompt ‘bounce’. Would love to hear what you think about it and what meaning you derived from his poem.

Red with constructive anger and bouncing with ideas, every one should try to broaden the boundaries of existence! There is always a ray of hope waiting for the soul in dark.
What a profound poem Namratha! Admire you for your command on your thoughts and ability to translate it in such a pithy way!

Someone, please take the lid off and let that beautiful, happy ball bounce freely so we can all have fun with her!

I second that. I actually wrote this keeping a person I know in mind, who is facing a lot of obstacles but fighting her hardest to keep positive and have hope.

Ooh, I dig this. I hope the ball never stops bouncing. What a cool little box, if such exists, that can keep a ball bouncing inside it forever.

I hope so too. The ‘cool little box’ idea is a whole new perspective
