Hiking my way home

A knock.

The aroma of jasmine infused with a hint of chandanam* invaded his senses.

The room folded flat around him. He was back home, safe in her embrace.

Tuning around he hoped against hope, it was his mother at the door.

    Smell can invoke and conjure up the most amazing, vivid memories. I really visualised this in my head, it made me think of cooking and home too 🙂

    What a heart warming story. Love the whiff of love and the scent of jasmines and sandalwood that encompass the writing.
