I am in ‘that’ phase of trying out completely different things with my writing because I am yet to figure out my genre(if I have one) or what I would like to ‘really’ write about. All I know until now is writing has helped me in more ways than one. Here is a humble attempt write lyrics to a famous song(I got from YeahWrite FILK)! Also, in the spirit of “Positweety” an initiative by blogchatter I have chosen a song with a depressive feel to it and converted it to a peppy anthem. It is all about “my loves”.

(To be sung to the tune of “Why does it always Rain On Me?”. All copyrights belong to Travis, obviously not to me)

I can’t stop smiling
As I gaze upon my very first crush
Still I can’t tune them out
All the violins that keep playing on and on

I decide
To just soak it all
I am in love for the first time
Just Sing Along…
Why does it always shine on me?
Is it because I was a goody-two-shoes until 17?
Why does it always shine on me?
Even when the world is dying
It always keeps me flying.

I am ecstatic
As our fingers meet for the very first time
And as we read our wedding vows
I know I must be the luckiest one around

I believe
Our love’s meant to be
And then we go skydiving into
Glenorchy…
Why does it always shine on me?
Is it because I was a goody-two-shoes until 17?
Why does it always shine on me?
Even when the world is dying
It always keeps me flying.

Oh, did I really know what love was?
Until I held you in my arms
My little boy
I can’t stop smiling
As I look over my very first child
Still I can’t tune them out
All the violins that keep playing on and on

I decide
To just soak it all
I am in love for the first time
Just Sing Along…
Why does it always shine on me?
Is it because I was a goody-two-shoes until 17?
Why does it always shine on me?
Even when the world is dying
It always keeps me flying.

Question for the day: Don’t you just feel all happy and gooey inside when you acknowledge all the good things in your life? Share something happy and “nice” with me today and let’s soak in the “positweety” together.
