As Marian @Imaginary Garden aptly said, the Rondelet is definitely a FUSSY little form.

I have tried my hand at two contrasting Rondelets here. It could be about the same people or completely different people, cause I believe it is ultimately all in the mind.

rondelet

(1)

Disconnected
Though we’re together all the time
Disconnected
we dance around each other
Sitting year on year, side by side
Our two souls never did collide
Disconnected.

(2)
you are the one
who knew me before you met me
you are the one
the programmer who coded us
shortcircuited the two of us
here, we were always meant to be
you are the one.

Love how the second Rondelet circles around and completes the first one. This is perfect!

I really like both of these rondelets, Namratha. I like the way the second one connects the disconnected, especially
    ‘the programmer who coded us
    shortcircuited the two of us
here, we were always meant to be
    you are the one’.

I feel there’s a longing to be connected. The despair is sad. Very well written in this form.

Both Rondelets are well draw and express the relationships with a clarity that gave me pause. An interesting poetic experiment, of sorts.

An interesting contrast and yes, it could be about the same people. Smiles.

It is challenging. But I found it to be a very nice form to read

This is so beautifully worded! The confusion and sense of estrangement here is palpable. Kudos!

Yes. Some can spend a lifetime together and not feel connected
